An actress who co-starred alongside Elvis Presley – Yvonne Lime Fedderson – has died at the age of 90.

Actress Yvonne Lime Fedderson, famous for playing Michael Landon’s girlfriend in I Was a Teenage Werewolf, has died at the age of 90. The 1950s movie star also appeared opposite Elvis Presley in the 1957 film Loving You.

Yvonne is understood to have “passed away peacefully” of natural causes at her home in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Her death was announced by nonprofit organisation, Childhelp, a charity Yvonne co-founded in 1959 with fellow actress Sara O’Meara, dedicated to helping abused, neglected and at-risk children.

A post on the Childhelp social media channels read: “This morning, Childhelp co-founder Yvonne Fedderson passed away peacefully. We honor Yvonne’s life by leaning on the light she shared unceasingly and the hope she nurtured for children and families through the life-saving mission she began 67 years ago.

“We are blessed to share her legacy, and we’re grateful to have been part of her life. As our hands and hearts find strength in our memories of Yvonne and her generous spirit, may all our hearts find comfort in the faith she treasured and the brilliant legacy of love she leaves behind. Thank you, Yvonne.”

Known as an actress and philanthropist, Yvonne appeared on screen from 1956 to 1968 before devoting much of her time to charity work, including helping to set up Childhelp. For her humanitarian work, she earned herself five consecutive Nobel Peace Prize nominations between 2000 to 2005.

Yvonne’s film appearance came in 1956 in The Rainmaker (1956), as Snookie Maguire. In 1957, along with her role in I Was a Teenage Werewolf, she was also cast in an uncredited part as Sally in Elvis Presley’s Loving You, and in 1958, she took top billing in Dragstrip Riot.

She married TV producer Don Fedderson in 1969 having a daughter, Dionne Fedderson together. Yvonne and Dionne lived together in Paradise Valley in later life.
